My programs focus on positive themes that foster imagination, appreciation, empathy, sense of community, mutual respect, caring for the earth, and delight.

They also make connections between good stories and good reading.

The programs are flexible and individualized to your audience and objectives.

My stories come from many cultures and from many sources: traditional, literary, historical and personal.

Each program lasts from forty minutes to one hour.

RISE AND SHINE
for toddlers through grade 1
This is a joyful, gentle, lively and interactive blend of stories, songs, seasonal elements and join-along fun.  Marigold Puppet keeps us company in her own shy but friendly way. The effect is both energizing and calming, while affirming each child’s worth.

STANDING STRONG
for grades 2 through 8
At the heart of this program is the tale of a boy enduring a life-threatening ordeal by focusing on a distant light tended by a friend.  It inspires thinking about inner strength, fairness, interdependence and important goals.

HALLOWEEN WITH A HEART

If you are looking for a “spirited” children’s Halloween program – with gentle shivers, wonder and laughter – this one offers delight without nightmares.

CELEBRATING TOGETHER
an intergenerational/family program
All ages join in with their imaginations, voices and movement in this festive, fun program of stories, songs and more.  There is something for everyone.

A VISIT WITH OLD(ER) FRIENDS
for elders
This program is a very flexible, interactive mutual sharing.  Along with brief and upbeat tales of my own, I encourage participants to share their own stories and thoughts. And, of course, we sing a lot of the golden oldies songs together!
